Harvey Van Gogh

I've had a request from George to display my latest art work. As you know, I design cardboard boxes and frill armchair covers but I have now gone into mixed media. My friend Lennie and his mum know all about arty stuff and will appreciate my latest wall hanging.

Post-office-Margaret in my village has already asked for the next one I finish. She has very special cats which win silver cups so it is an honour for me, as a rabbit, to be appreciated.
The carpet fringe is an on-going piece of design work. It has to be sucked and nibbled for weeks to get rid of the actual tight fringe set up before I can pull it into shape. As you can see, it's a very exhausting job so I need a rest now and again.

They say all rabbits need a bonded partner. I don't agree. If you live with another rabbit you don't develop your originality and artistic bent. You spend time chatting to them about rabbit stuff instead of moving on to higher things and allowing your imagination to spread in other directions.

My family is very good about encouraging my talents. They give me stuff to work on. I'm busy with another chewy mat at the moment. Chill and chew I say.

In case you missed my other work here it is as well as my new stuff. I might send it all to the Academy of Modern Art. There's a bloke there who stuffs sheep. Disgusting. I could teach him and Tracey Emin a thing or two.

Got to get to work.

Thank you for sharing this, Harvey. A very, very beautiful exhibiton of Rabbit art. I suggest sending the photos to the letters pages of Rabbiting On. this could start an important trend for domestic lagomorphs. I shall be sending you a photo of my litter tray shortly - interesting Zen like patterns etc.
Love George

My friends had difficulty posting on your blog, Harvey. So they put it on mine. Here it is;

Harvey, indeed, very inspirational art! We don't have a google account (what's google anyway?) so we couldn't post our comment on your blog, but YOU ARE A REAL TALENT! Our art is just mere copy of yours! We focus mainly on our living room rug!

Harvey! Harvey! I love them. I love them. It makes me feel like a 'normal' rabbit. I started on one of my own humans favourite cardigan sleeves only a few days ago. They only discovered it yesterday and frankly were not impressed by my efforts. Deep sigh. They did bring out my William Morris /Harvey curtain which I have to say has been much missed this year.
I keep hearing promises of a castle they are going to build me... huh. Have you ever seen pigs flying Harvey?
I love your wall hanging.
I think you should put it up for The Tapestry of the Year Awards.

Keep nibbling Harvey. "Love you the carpet and the cardigan to pieces" he heheheheh love linda xx

Harvey, your work is beautiful! We think you should enter some pieces in the Royal Acadamy summer exhibition next year. You are an inspiration. It is most important for we creatures to improve the tardy items apes place around the home, especially the soft furnishings :)

Glad you all liked my work. There are some pieces I haven't shown, the edge of the door of the TV cupboard for instance and the hem of the hand printed, French silk curtains.I'm always looking for new ways of artistic expression. It's what I do best.
Love to all, Harve.
